Stunning images capture the moment a sugar cube splashes into cup of tea

These amazing pictures prove there really is no use crying over split milk - when you can capture the precise moment a sugar cube spectacularly splashes into a cup of tea.

The stunning pictures have been causing a stir since keen photographer Egor Signienko started using sugar cubes and milk to create the extraordinary effect.

He spends hours painstakingly pouring milk and firing sugar cubes into cups of tea and coffee from different heights and angles just to capture one perfect image.

Egor, 23, uses nothing more than the table he places the items on to photograph his amazing work without any photographic trickery.

He said: 'I love tea and coffee very much and drink a lot of it, often coffee.

'It seemed like the ideal thing use as a subject for my photography when I was thinking of ideas and trying to realise them in my head.

'On each picture I outlaid one or two hours - then I would print the photos, see if they were perfect and if there were any problems I would work it out and re-shoot.

'Overall the set took maybe four or five weeks to complete and for me to feel entirely happy with it.

'I used all different methods to create the splash - from dropping sugar cubes, throwing cups up in the air or simply pouring milk into tea and coffee.'

Egor, from Donetsk, Ukraine, studied drawing and painting then decided to branch out and began taking pictures.

He got his first camera just two years ago and only his first professional camera one year ago just a few months before taking these images.

He added: 'I saw a photo with the splash on the internet a long time ago and always wanted to do something similar.

'Then this idea came to me so I did three pictures as a result. Then I wanted to do an exhibition in local art cafe but the minimum pictures had to be 10 so I did more.

'These are the only pictures I have done like this at the moment but in the near future I hope to do a similar series with alcohol - such as wine, beer and more.'
